This couple stole my heart. The spice happens in Chapter 1 but then you have build-up until it happens again that was tense and explosive when it finally happened. These two are oil and water, but their chemistry jumps off the pages.

Nicholas is a good, moral, strong man who can't stop thinking bout his one-night stand. While he begins with a black-and-white viewpoint, you see him change as he becomes Brayden and his feelings grow. He writes it off as doing his job, but he begins to lose who he is the more he is with Evelina. By the end, he doesn't know if he is Nicholas or Brayden.

Evelina is an independent, introverted, dark woman who has never received the love she deserves. Being the youngest, unplanned child of three, Evelina was never cared for by her parents. She is so desperate for love that she follows her father's orders and bottles up her negative emotions. When she finally trusts someone and lets her true self out, you see the beautiful woman underneath.

This villain, fractured fairytale is the perfect example of how a person who does bad things, isn't bad at all; they are surviving the best way they know how.
