Julian is a possessive, anti-hero, morally gray character that I love! He believes he is doing the right thing but goes about it the wrong way. I loved watching his emotions surface and his feelings and outlook change. He grew as a character, and while he is still morally gray and a villain, he is the right kind of villain.

Yasmin is a naive, trusting, scared young woman with a backbone with Julian. Julian allows Yasmin to be her true self around him, never hiding behind a mask to please her father or anyone else. She grows into a strong-willed woman who goes after what she wants.

This story brought me to tears, but it was heartwarming to watch two people become better versions of themselves due to the love they share.
