The Truths We Burn by Monty Jay
I was curious about Rook in the first book and loved learning more about what makes him, well him. He was such a strong character with so much heartache and self-recrimination. Sage is the typical queen bee at first who is shallow and self-centered, but once you get to know her, you see that she is putting on an act to survive until she can leave the town and be herself. Rook and Sage's story begins prior to Rose dying, which gives us more insight into who Rose was and why she means so much to the guys. Now I can't wait until Thatcher and Lyra's story because I have been anticipating theirs since book 1!
