Alrec, the Vampyre warrior, falls for Kilani, the Slayer aristocrat, whom he should hate and vis versa. This story was short and I wanted more! Alrec is kind, funny, strong, and loving. Kilani is tough, independent, smart, witty, and wants to be accepted as a fighter and make her own decisions. You slowly see Kilani give into her feelings and trust Alrec. I loved this story and how sweet and gentle they were with each other. I especially loved the ending and may have teared up a little. It was the perfect sweet, rom-com I was looking for.
