This story is why I love to read! I love trying new authors, but sometimes coming back to an author you love is exactly what you need! I was in a bit of a funk from reading. Nothing was grabbing my attention and holding it. It took a week to read a 250-page story. But I picked this book up and devoured it! It grabbed my attention, choked it, and wouldn't let it go!
Tristan is everything you want in a villain. Self-centered, violent, crass, and doesn't give a f**k about anything or anyone (except Simon). Enter Sara, and Tristan can't help but seek her out and put her wants first. Sara is a strong, focused, chameleon woman. Her agenda quickly gets set to the side burner when Tristan grabs her focus and doesn't let it go. They orbit each other until they finally collide, causing a slow burn build-up that explodes in all the best ways.
While some parts are expected, the twists at the end are *chef's kiss*! I loved thinking it was going one way, then, bam! This story had me on the edge of my seat with the build-up of passion and the ending that made me love them even more!
