Powerful Deception by Jocelyne Soto
Dante is everything you think of when you think about the mafia. He is strong, stubborn, a boss, and grumpy. Arianna is a fighter who is loving and funny. This story made me feel all the feelings, from sad tears at the beginning to happy ones at the end and all the feelings in between. While lies and omissions started in the relationship, both were struck with instalove and connection and couldn't help but pursue the relationship, even though they both fought against the feelings. While reading, you weren't sure if Dante was the bad guy or the "innocent" bystander. I thought I knew but kept questioning myself, which made me love the book more. Overall, a great story and a highly recommended one!
